Lagers
Pale lagers and pilsners are by far the most widely consumed beers in the world. Lager is a German word that can be loosely translated as a bed or camp: lagering means laying a beer down to rest in cold storage from one week to nine months. Stylistically speaking, in the most general terms, lagers tend to be lighter and less assertive than there spicier, full-bodied cousins, ales.
